LOVING OUR COMMUNITY

hanky pies really-really-really loves to love its community. we are always looking for ways to serve, create a place of belonging, support those who need it, and create opportunities for our tribe to love each other well. we once heard the phrase “dream factory” and we knew we needed to create one – an environment that fosters creativity and big dreams and human connection – a place where you can scheme ways to make the world a better place. you bring the ideas, we’ll bring the coffee and snacks.

here are a few of our current jams: (on hold due to COVID)

-story time. come listen to our dear Ms. Melba read stories in the kids area from 10-11am, every wednesday.

-theme days. once a month, we host a theme day – games, dress-up, treat and drink specials and photo ops! so far we’ve had a luau, jurassic park day, christmas-in-july, harry potter day, and have many more in the works! keep an eye on socials for information!

-tuesday night free dinner – hanky pies and the fathers house foursquare church co-host a free dinner for those in need. 5-7pm, every tuesday.

-coffee with the chief, every 3rd wednesday from 5:30-6:50pm.

-bottle cap collection spot for Syd’s buddy benches. please bring all your plastic lids (water/soda/gatorade bottle lids, detergent bottle lids, screw-on peanut butter lids, etc.)

-live music fridays. come listen to the talented local bands play from 6:30-8pm – but make sure to check social media for the schedule – we plan to have live music at least twice a month but dates aren’t set in stone yet!

-teen game night, starting thursday evenings, 6-8pm, in november. cool cat drink specials, games, prizes, and more. we’re trying really hard to create a hip, casual and fun (but safe) place for our local kids to hang out after dark this winter.

–our mission–

support our local farmers–we use local & organic produce, meats free of hormones & antibiotics, all natural bread baked daily, free-range chicken, cage-free eggs & pasture raised beef, when we can.

support our local heroes–we offer discounted product, along with our sincerest gratitude to any active duty military & veterans, law enforcement & first responders & various other public servants. a life spent serving others is the most magical legacy you can leave–we thank you.

support our neighbors–we are passionate about nourishing your body & soul through whole food & intentional acts of kindness. we want to encourage the disheartened, clothe the cold & feed the hungry. we want to leave the world better than we found it–so we chose to start by loving our community. we can’t wait to see what comes next.

BRAG BOARD – we are humbled by your constant support
